Employment History

Kenn is currently working for PwM, a not for profit conservation and community development national NGO as the Executive Director since 2003.

PwM programmes with rural communities are on conservation education, community development and capacity, consensus building, rainforest literacy and environmental health programs in three provinces PNG.

- The Managalas Project in Oro province with an area of 360, 000 hectares of rainforest with 18,000 people speaking 5 different local languages. Soon to be declared as the second and biggest conservation area in PNG by mid 2011.
- Ona Keto Community Reforestation Area in Eastern Highlands Province covering 6,250 hectares is a grassland reforestation project together with IUCN-NL and
- A newly proposed conservation area in Karamui district in Chimbu province is the new area PWM has started on in 2010.

• Worked for WWF- PNG from 2002 to 2003 managing the sustainable forestry project for 14 months. And left to join PWM in 2003.
• Worked for Niugini Forest Planning and Management Ltd and later with Shisei (PNG) Enterprises Ltd in the logging industry in PNG for 5 years (1989 – 1995)
• Worked for the European Union IRECDP project (EU-IRECDP) from (1995-2001) as the Programme Manager responsible for Ecoforestry for NGI region and mainland of PNG.

• Founding Member of the PNG Eco Forestry Forum Inc. (NGO) (1999-2007) and Current Chairman of the Board of PNG EFF Board (2008-2010)
• Registered Forestry Consultant with PNG Forest Authority (Registration No. FC-079) (1995-2010)
• Member of the Association of Foresters of Papua New Guinea Inc. (1995-2010 ?)
• Board Member of Centre for Environmental Law and Community Rights (CELCOR) Lawyers (2003-2007/2010)
• Board Member on Board of FORCERT Ltd (Forest Certification Management Services – Non Profit Company) (2005-2007)
• Member of National Aids Council of PNG Representing NGOs at the National Level (2008-2010)
• Director of Cloudy Bay Sustainable Forestry Limited a subsidiary of PNGSDPL – (2009- now)
